dont waste your money

In general: From the moment we arrived we were given a three bed apartment for two of us. The booking company was very helpful and moved us to a 2bed with a view. This was however the beginning of a bad experience! Upstairs toilet broken and wasn't not fixed until last night after been told it would be done the second day of a 5day stay. Place was dirty with cockroaches seen at night and tiny ants everywhere! Broken dishwasher noisy fridge that is in a bad need of defrosting, no screen doors unlike the apartment next door, broken louver windows at front door. Aircon in master bedroom not working properly shower frame rusty in master ensuite. Clothes dryer sounded like it wanted to jump off the wall and bounce out the door (can't really blame it). When we checked out at 1030 we were dropped at the airport to wait for 3.5 hours for our flight. My partner left some clothes in a draw, we notified them the next day but it took two days to get a response! The response was that nothing was found and pretty much told bad luck! The funny thing was that the manager of pinnacle property services genelle told us her cleaning staff were very good and they did not report any lost property and they clean and check all draws and cupboards. Well how good could they be! It was several items in a small bedside table. Ummm I guess not real good then hey! They were waiting to clean the apartment as we were being rushed into the van to go to the airport. If they had found something we had left behind we were still on the island for another 3.5 hours. We were told all draws were checked and then told by the manager genelle that she checked herself and nothing was there. It's amazing how things go into a draw and disappear. I didn't realise hamilton island was now part of the bermuda triangle. So I'm left wondering whether the cleaning staff are incompetent or thieves? I would not recommend this place, especially pinnacle apartment 4 to anyone I know or anyone else I don't know. My recommendation is move along and book a nice well kept apartment with honest staff and professional cleaners or bring a tent (it will be cleaner).
